Inverter upgrade at the Cabin (Giandel 1200W)- Woodstock, ME
Просмотров 453 месяца назад
Upgraded to a pure sine wave inverter to run my lights and whatnot at the cabin. The old Harbor Freight 750w inverter was a modified sine. This is a Giandel 1200w. Bought used on EBay. If you are wondering why the video looks yellow, I have all bug lights in the light fixtures since the cabin is not sealed up yet and want to keep the bugs out. (Larry David reference at the end 😁)

Disable CO Sensor. Champion 2500w Inverter Generator (201153)
Просмотров 4,1 тыс.6 месяцев назад
For people that can safely disable the sensor and have common sense. Lots of people have issues with these sensors that are overly sensitive (mine would go off in a wide open driveway with nothing next to it, with a gust of wind). So this is how to disable the shutoff that happens when CO is detected. The sensor will still work and shows the presence of CO. Your model might vary if its not this...

Cool. Don't forget an outside freeze free faucet connection.
Nice Dave & Rick!!! Awesome progress being made for sure!!!! Keep up the great work!!!
Thanks. We're far from professionals but doing the best we can. Lol
@@navydave1 your doing awesome my friend!!! No need for hiring pros for everything these days. RUclips is great thing to have these days. Wish I had it when I was building in Minot. Went old school by reading books and only buying a couple. Some things yes require us to bust out the wallet for certain things. But that usually ends up being very worth it.
Now just get the indoor plumbing and toilet in, and then you can finally enjoy that first $13,000.00 shit.
You git a prrrr-mit fo dat?
😂😂😂
Uh oh. Neighbors will.see you through the woods now in the winter.
Very nice ❤ 🖐️🙏🙏🙏💞
Thank you very much!
almost 500 subs now from 200+
You likely don’t want or need opinions. Bet you’re tired of everyone telling you what you should do. Yet I won’t should ya, but in my opinion you aughta 😁 get rid of any 🌲 🌳’s that may fall and threaten your home, solar array, car, etc…. I’ve had all mine done around main house 🏠. No tree is immune to possibly going down. I’ve had really large ones topple in heavy storms. None I would have expected. Just sayin’. Take it for what it’s worth Brother. Btw, keep up the great work and keep on a sharing those pics n videos. I’m a fan of seeing all of it. It inspires me to keep going!!!
Thanks. Yeah, gonna think about some selective cutting and try to open some sunlight, remove dangers but try to keep privacy and not see my neighbors
The Champion CO2 sensor sucks and constantly shuts off my generator when it's sitting outside in open air... gotta disable it or the generator won't work
Yup. Poor design.
Love how relaxed that guy is while talking about how hard he’s working lol It’s looking great! Just getting started on a 24x36 myself
Thanks. Getting there slow but sure. Good luck with yours.

Have you heard of a electric toilet?
No, but required to have a septic design according to the town. So options are kind of limited
Nice cabin.
Nice spot! enjoy👍
Thanks 👍
Not far from you,, Might have things you could use.
Cool. What kind of things?
Can turn around easier in the driveway now.
Not after I set up the fire pit over there 🤪
Just a sapling. Give it a few years.
That setup is friggin’ awesome Dave!!! Screw that damn power company eh’. I should set something like that up. I’d obviously have a question or two for ya. But that’s sweet for sure. I’m actually just last couple of days dealing with my power company AND bank fuckin’ me and double charging me for my monthly bill. Of course neither wanna make it right. Meanwhile I’m effin’ out $187 for the month. I may just invest in something like that. I really gotta start and do some research before hand. But hell, damn good for you my friend!! I’m blown away by the amount of capacity you have there. Keep up the amazing work my friend!!!
Thanks bro. Yeah, obviously if you wanted to do a full large house with all the appliances you'd need a bigger system. But if you had propane appliances that would cut it down quite a bit. But if you have questions let me know. Best thing to do is go on google and search solar usage calculator and add up all your loads. You could also do a grid-tie system but costs more. Search for Will Prowse on RUclips. The king of DIY solar. Lots of other channels out there too. RUclips university 😜
And here i thought you made this video just for me. You cheater.

You should modify the title to say that it also is confirmed to work on Model# 201122
Way to go MacGyver!
I have one and I love it
I think those exposed rocks are potentially White Horse Ledge? I hiked it last summer, trail starts at echo lake in North Conway
That’s kick ass Dave!!! Screw CMP right. What an awesome investment!!!
Thanks. Yeah, its a small setup for now, but at least i don't need to run the generator all the time.
I don't like this video. Please remove it.

Hello i have a GXS1500i but it turns on, amd then off again because the CO light is on, how can i fix it?
That sounds like a different brand from Champion. AI power? Not sure, but you'd have to look at the schematic and see which wire is connected to the engine kill switch when the CO sensor comes on and disconnect it. They are all different so best bet is to lookup a video for your brand of generator that shows how. Good luck.
Hola tengo este equipo GXS1500i se apaga, porque se enciendela luz del CO. La luz roja esta encendida como puedo arreglar el sistema?
That’s awesome! I want to go sometime! 😊
Hey just curious, how do you feel about the living room size? Now that you’ve got framing done and everything does it feel like a decent amount of space?
It would be nice if it was bigger, but a single guy on a budget, doing it all myself. Even figuring out the cad software, best I could come up with. Will be fine for just myself. Might not work for a family. The next one will he perfect lol.
@@navydave1 okay awesome. I’m personally planning to do something pretty similar within the next few years and kind of balancing out how much room to leave for the kitchen vs living room and all that is a bit difficult. If you have any insights please let me know lol. Good luck and great job so far!
@@toddjohnsoneveningnews8870 Dunno. Maybe look up some different designs online and some layouts. This is roughly designed by looking at Kyle's Cabin RUclips channel. He might be a good place to get some ideas from.
Cruising along.

You’ve come a long way! Once your settled in it will be awesome, beautiful peaceful location!

Thank you for sharing -
Who did that janky ass wiring job? Your brother? Oh, then, i guess it's great. 😂
Someone broke in, in the middle of the night and installed it all.
This worked perfectly on my 2500w dual fuel w/CO Shield. Model# 201122. I tested it with a box covering generator before disconnecting engine stop micro switch wire and it turned off in about 5 seconds. After disconnecting wire, CO light blinked but generator stayed running. Thanks Dave!
Awesome! Glad to hear it worked!
@@navydave1 Thank YOU, BEEN WAITING FOR SSOMEBODY TO SHOW HOW TO DO THIS ON A # 201122. THANKS
